About me

I am Pietro Iannelli, number 27 on the AG4 Iannelli family tree, which you can find here. I am the son of Raffaele and Bastiana Lutzu, the brother of Giovanni and Giacomo, the husband of Maria Luisa Boi, the father of Andrea and Alberto and the grandfather of Noah and Gabriel.

I became a doctor at 24. Medicine has been my great passion, and I am lucky enough to still practise it today, in 2026, at 72. But I have not forgotten my other passions: music, sport and history. It was history that taught me the value of family bonds, and that is where this site was born, in 2013.

Today I have taken up the research into the history of my family and its branches with new energy. So the site is becoming a blog, where I hope to find the time to tell stories of the Iannelli family and of the Lutzu family, my mother's. I offer them to my relatives as a sign of affection and goodwill.

Suggestions and criticism are welcome. I am neither a historian nor a professional writer: if any passage should hurt anyone's feelings, please know that it was not intended, and I apologise in advance. The blog format lets me easily correct mistakes, or passages that someone may find inappropriate.
